Description: Prvotina Vladimíra Michálka vznikla na motivy nedokončeného díla Franze Kafky s názvem „Nezvěstný“. Mladík Karel Rossman (Dejdar) si vynutí souhlas rodičů a opouští Prahu, aby odcestoval přes oceán za strýcem Jakobem (Lábus). Jakob je multimilionář, který se vypracoval díky čerpání a prodeji vody. Karel se nechá zasvětit do tajů strýcova impéria a stává se jeho součástí. Jeho slibně se rozvíjející kariéru však zničí setkání s dcerou bankéře Pollundera Klárou (Jarka Rytychová). Rossman se tak záhy ocitá v bahně přístavu, kde se seznámí s opileckým topičem (Schmitzer)...
